2019 \ Immersive interactive Art Installation
Glacier \ White Night
This participatory digital artwork serves as a contemplation on the fragility of our environment and the ongoing decay of icecaps. Glacier invites users to actively engage with the projected surface, sculpting and shaping transient ice forms that slowly melt and dissipate.
Its entropic aesthetic is driven by a generative design process, which responds in real-time to gestural movement captured by a mounted sensor. As the audience interacts, the piece reflects the delicate, fleeting nature of ice, creating a dynamic and immersive exploration of environmental change.
First exhibited at White Night Ballarat with support from Regional Rail Victoria and technical support by CVP
